Finally above Freezing!!!

First time above freezing this month I think. I celebrated by going for a 3 mile snoeshoe with my son Noah. Good times and it was my first time on snowshoes. It felt great to get back out in the woods. After that, I rode to Mitchell and back, enjoying the sunshine. Some beelers from Greene were out riding the ice on the Cedar River. There's lots of open water and thin ice and one of the beelers fell through into the knee deep water. I just missed getting a picture of it. By the time I got the camera out, he was just getting the sled back onto the ice. I pointed them to the Dam Bar and went on my way.

Are those snow shoes or some sort of ski shoe combo? They look cool.
