I started building this shelter last weekend in preparation for winter camping. We got 5 or 6 inches of snow Friday, so I was able to finish it up by covering it with snow for insulation.

I camped in it last night and it got down to 0* F by 7am with -15 windchill. It was noticeably warmer inside the shelter. So much that I didn't have to zip up my sleeping bag.

It will be nice to camp in it again when it's just a little warmer.
