I got my new tipi, a GoLite Hex 3, last week and I just couldn't wait for Spring to set it up and play in it a little bit. Lots of room inside and it weighs under 3 pounds. I also have the inner bug screen for when the skeeters are biting this summer.

Pleas elaborate on your reasons for getting the tp over a "normal" tent. I'm looking at the kifarus, but I'm not sure if tp's are the way...
-Light weight but still roomy
-Option to add a small wood stove later (I would need to ad a stove jack)
-No worries about tracking sand or dirt into the tent
I'd love to get a Kifaru with a stove but they're out of my price range for the moment. Checked out your blog. I like it! I've added it to my Google reader.

I do like the stove option.
Scared of water sheeting in though. Kifaru says it won't, but I've seen that happen. The sheeting.I guess in those cicumstances (i.e. pouring-ass rain) there's no guarantee, and campsite location choice is everything. We would be outside, not in a house. Still.
Anyway, I'd like to hear about your experiences in the real world with it. Thanks.
