Bohemian Cachesody

Two of the kids and I attended the Lake Hendricks Cache-a-Thon in Riceville on Saturday. We found 27 of the 30 temporary caches hidden around the lake. It was sunny but windy and we nearly froze to death in the open. Still, we had a great time, won some prizes, and ate some good food. It's warmer today and enjoyed a beautiful Fall woods ride on my fixie.

First Snow!

This morning was my first snow ride of the season. Sorry, no pics, it was a short and uneventful ride. I cut the ride short so I could put my full fenders back on before my morning commute.

Wine Me Dine Me 69 Me

Today I turned my 29er into a 69er by way of installing an Xtracycle on it. The Xtraycle has spent the last 3 years on an old GT frame that was built up with junk parts. It's been in such bad shape that I haven't even wanted to ride it. After seeing some cool xtracycle builds as well as Surly's new Big Dummy, I decided to switch the xtra over to the 29er, to see how rides. So far it's OK. It dropped the BB a little, but it rides nice. I can still ride no-handed with it. Hauled the kids around on it and it handled 50 and 60 pounds just fine. I'll give it a week to see if I still like it. Mojoe
