THIS WEATHER SUCKS :(

Well, it could be worse. At least it's not snowing. No long rides last weekend or this weekend. My 29er is boxed up, waiting to be shipped out to it's new owner. My new bike, Surly Cross-Check, is getting assembled at the bike shop. I took the fixie out for a rainy 13 miler this morning, which was better than not riding at all.

Pics of the new bike coming next week.

74 Miles....

Kicked out an ass hammering 74 miler today. That's my longest ride in 7 years. I gravel traveled from Osage to Nashua and back. Sorry, no pics from today's ride... my camera is on a band trip. I didn't feel bad until the last 10 miles and then I was just getting cold. Here's another pic from last weeks ride. Later...

So many roads to ride

It was a nice sloppy warm weekend for riding. I'm just starting to get my ride back on, so I'm takin' it easy. Went out for 36 miles yesterday and an even 50 today. I pulled off the fenders for today's ride, because you know, how bad could it be?? Took an hour to clean the bike up afterword and I did put the fenders back on. After I cleaned the bike up, I installed my new water bottle cage. It's a Nitto 'R' Water Bottle Cage from Rivendell. It's really pretty, especially next to my Profile Design cage.

Post "Storm of the Century" Ride

Some pics from this mornings ride. I started down one of the gravel roads and I was about to turn around because the road was drifted over. Just as started back, I see a snow plow coming down the road. Thank you snow plow man!! I was able to follow the plow until I got to the river road, which had been plowed before. I'm glad I switched tires yesterday as the 700x40's would not have cut it today. The front got a little sqirmy at times. The only thing better might have been a Surly Pugsley.
